Shots from a test roll of Portra 160 NC that I ran through my father's old Pentax K1000.
The Pentax, while inexpensive (relatively) holds a little place in my heart. When I was growing up, my father and I would fly out to California or Arizona to buy and drive old Studebakers, just he and I. Saddled with a spare radiator, a fuel pump, water pump, various tools and a "go get em'" attitude; we would fly out west as early in the day as possible and spend the rest of that day redoing brakes, changing out old water pumps and generally making the car run and stop again. However, none of that has anything to do with these photos; these photos are random shots from a roll that took way too long to shoot. The shots are from all over, most notable San Diego - California, Cochiti Mesa - New Mexico, Henderson, Hotchkiss & Leadville - Colorado, Cincinnati, Ohio and probably some other places that I can't remember.
No real rhyme or reason for these, but regardless I thought they were nice ... so, here they are.
