Adam Bove is a commercial photographer and director based in Denver, Colorado. For 16 years he has worked alongside agencies and production companies on national campaigns, broadcast spots, and print work for brands like Apple, Carhartt, Fjällräven, Garmin, Free People, OtterBox, Red Wing Heritage, and Weber. His range covers commercial, lifestyle, portraiture, documentary, and tourism, with deep roots in outdoor and apparel. At the center of all of it is storytelling. Every frame is built to say something about the people in it and the brand behind it.
It started on road trips with his father, driving old Studebakers from California to Ohio with a Pentax K1000 on the seat. That led to shooting rock climbing for Rock and Ice and Climbing across Europe and Southeast Asia. Those years taught him to wait for what's real. Even on a fully lit set, he's watching for the moment nobody planned.
A former city and environmental planner, Adam traded zoning maps for a camera but never lost the habit. He plans carefully and puts the money where it shows.
His work for Apple took him to 16 countries. He has made portraits in the Himalaya and shot Fjällräven campaigns from northern Scandinavia to the Alaskan backcountry.
On set he's warm, direct, and easy to work with. People do their best work when they feel trusted, and he builds crews that want to own the result.
When he's not working, Adam can be found traveling with his son, teaching him to stay curious about the people and places they find along the way. At home, he's often on a river with a fly rod and his dog Pete (Pierre Montreal).
Bring him the hard ones: remote locations, tight schedules, real people who have never stood in front of a camera. That's where he does his best work.
